Today was the opening reception for PHOTOgraphy2008 at the Philadelphia Sketch Club. Here I am with my photo (it's to the right).

It's been a while...

I love fall.

Fall means the changing of the leaves...



the start of a new season...



Fall also means the changing of the temperatures...which leads to me getting sick! haha yeah, that's right...I have a nasty cold. Since I'm home sick I thought I'd just post a brief update of what's been going on lately.

The photography business has been pretty slow for me lately but that's okay because I've been gearing up for a busy fall season at my other job - I'm an event planner.

In case you haven't noticed, I now have a new logo thanks to Voila! Customs by Nicole! She did a great job designing for me.

So on Tuesday, the Philadelphia Flyers (NHL) played their minor league affiliate, Philadelphia Phantoms, for the final time at the Wachovia Spectrum. In case you haven't heard, the Spectrum will be demolished at the end of this year in order to build a hotel and shopping center. That being said, the Phantoms will have to find a new home.

During the opening ceremony of the game, alumni members of the Flyers organization were on hand for a group photo.

The Phantoms beat the Flyers 4-2.

On Thursday I went to a concert at the Trocadero in Philadelphia to see my favorite band Cobra Starship....I even got to meet the band!!!!



Well that about does it for now!

Tomorrow I'm off to the opening reception at the Philadelphia Sketch Club.

Update on photo show

I would just like to thank everyone for helping me choose which 3 photos to enter into the upcoming juried photography shows. I just want to let you all know that the following photo made it into the show:

The photo will be on display at the Philadelphia Sketch Club (235 S. Camac St., Phila., PA 19107) from Oct. 10 - 26. The gallery is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Photo Contest

Yesterday I mailed 4 photos to the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society for their annual photo contest. All entries had to be postmarked by Monday, Sept. 15 and all winners will be notified on November 15. So at least I won't have too long to wait. It would be awesome to win or at least get an honorable mention.

It's hard to believe that fall is just around the corner. With that being said, it's time for me to choose which photos I'd like to enter into 2 juried photography shows. I've put together 10 of my favorite photos that I've taken - none of which have been entered into a show before.

Caitlin & JP

This weekend I met up with Caitlin, my friend and fellow photographer. We normally go to some really cool place or even do a session together for a client but this time.....Caitlin and her husband JP were in front of the camera as my models. We had a great session and I know I had a blast....I think they did too!

We spent the morning walking through the center of town and found some really great spots for photos. The following photos are just some of my favorites from the day.
