Recently I've been exploring more and more of http://www.jpgmag.com - it's a great photography site & magazine. It also offers many great ideas for photos as well as allows you to look at other peoples work from all over the world. Similar to www.deviantart.com in a way, this site allows you to get votes for your photos for different contests or to be featured in the print publication.
